Tuff Labs Team

Founded by Juan Inez Valdes in 2015, Tuff Labs emerged from a vision to support the Latin community. As the demand for photography and videography grew, we expanded in 2021, covering three or more events each weekend. Our mission is to serve the community with affordable rates and provide a platform for local artists to showcase their work. We also proudly offer pro bono services for many community events, reinforcing our commitment to giving back.

Kasey Gonzalez

Kasey Gonzalez is a talented photographer who has been an integral part of Tuff Labs for three years. Currently advancing her studies in communications, she balances her academic work with a passion for the arts, including 11 years of piano experience and a love for circus arts. Kasey’s creative journey is fueled by her favorite indulgence: lavender matcha.

Nathaly Moreno

Nathaly Moreno is a dynamic Honduran filmmaker and photographer based in Central Arkansas. With a Bachelor of Arts in Film and a Master of Fine Arts in Film, she has directed several award-winning short films, including “Perséfone” and “Strawberry,” both currently in the festival circuit. As a key member of Tuff Labs, Nathaly plays a crucial role in elevating our photography through her artistic vision and guidance. She specializes in directing and empowering quinceañeras, helping them feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Her collaborative spirit has greatly enhanced the skills of our photographers and the overall quality of our work.

When she’s not behind the camera, Nathaly loves to unwind by caring for her plants, curating playlists that keep her inspired, belting out her favorite songs, and diving into the world of cinema. Currently, she’s in post-production on her latest documentary, which showcases the local Hispanic restaurant El Sur.

Kandra Galvez

Kandra Galvez is one of the youngest and quickest learners on our team. Having celebrated her own quinceañera, she brings a unique perspective to the day’s events, allowing her to connect easily with her peers and make them feel comfortable. Kandra is training across multiple areas—photo, video, and lighting—and often steps in wherever help is needed. Outside of work, she’s dedicated to her community, spending time helping at St. Teresa Catholic Church and serving as one of the leaders for the "Busqueda" church camp program. When she’s not working or volunteering, you can find her fueling up at 7 Brew or enjoying the outdoors with a special passion for off-roading adventures.

Angela Gonzalez

Angela Gonzalez is the newest dynamic force at Tuff Labs, quickly establishing herself as one of our lead videographers thanks to her tenacity and passion for storytelling through video. With a keen eye for the latest social media trends, Angela injects fresh and engaging perspectives into every project she undertakes. Beyond the lens, she’s dedicated to honing her craft as a nail technician, a true passion that reflects her creative spirit. Angela’s background in theater not only enriches her directing skills but also fuels her innovative approach to visual storytelling, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

Sheranden Miller

Sheranden Miller is a dedicated photographer at Tuff Labs, having joined the team just over a year ago. She is currently advancing her academic journey in mass communication with a minor in marketing. Sheranden's deep-seated passion for photography is evident in her diverse experience, which includes event photography and a notable role at UALR, where she captures compelling images for advertisements, articles, and various school promotions. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Sheranden loves playing the guitar, immersing herself in music, and enjoying the great outdoors.
